Runs great cold then poor idle when hot?

Hello all -
New member and new to the VTR. I will try and keep this short and sweet.
Just picked up a 98 with 8,100 miles on it. Was running fine then seemed to develop an idle issue once the engine gets all the way warmed up. Once it's warmed up it just won't idle smoothly and will die when stopped at a light, as well as run rough while cruising at 35ish. Under acceleration it runs great when hot. Even if the idle is turned up some will still have the same result. Ive checked the plugs for color and they seem great. When the engine is cold/warming up it runs amazing!
Cleaned carbs and including choke cable.
Pair delete completed with block off plates.
Nothing changed after the carb clean and pair delete.
Has some carbon fiber high pipes along with a K&N style filter.
Thanks for the help.

Carb sync?

Maybe have a read of this CV carb guide; a bike that runs well cold but get worse when hot would be running rich, and the fuel screws may need to be adjusted.

CV Carb Tuning Procedures

I bet your enricher (choke) is not working properly. Pull the carbs and see if the enricher needle is working properly. If the plastic fittings are broken, search for "Jack Flash choke fitting". He sells them in brass and you will never have to worry about the plastic breaking ever again.

Once you have the enricher figured out, do a carb sync and set the idle.

Thanks for the help.

I did pull the enricher off the bike to make sure the cable was not bound up. It seemed fine so I lubed the and then re-installed it. The threads looked to be good.
I think next I will pick up a thumb fuel screw adjuster and then maybe a sync.

While you're fiddling with the carbs, you may as well check and adjust the TPS.
