Running like crap

Well I will try to tell you what it exactly has done. my 00 superhawk will only fire on one cylinder with the choke out. I put new spark plugs in it. When I was doing that I noticed that not a single drop of gas drained out from the rear cylinder carberatur to the gas tank hose but the front cylinder was fine. It reved fine in both cylinders when I did that. As soon as I took off it started to miss fire like crazy and I really want to say it has always been the rear cylinder acting up.
As of today I started it up in fully choke. It barely ran with choke fully out. It was only firing in the front cylinder the whole time. Im going to double check the vacume hose on the gas tank (I don't believe that it but I will double check). any other possible problems.
There is no knocking or unordinary metal banging noises. please help me get this machine to get her on the road again.

How many miles on the bike? Ever clean your carbs? Got a jet kit?

You definitely have to get fuel to both carbs for it to run. Sounds like something is plugged in the gastank petcock (more likely) or the line itself (less likely) With a vacuum on the petcock valve it should flow fuel to both carb fuel lines - if a float is stuck it can block fuel with the carb so check with the lines off the carbs first. The older Honda's like my '92 Nighthawk had a sediment bowl/filter as part of the petcock - I don't know if the SH does but its worth checking into.

problem solved

Yep I had the vaccume line on the wrong nipple on the peck cock valve. I appreciate it alot. If it wasn't for this forum I would of spent hundreds of dollars at the bike shop.

Glad to hear you figured out the problem without spending a lot on it.
