Report on SpeedoDRD install

I bought the SpeedoDRD online from Moto Mummy https://www.motomummy.com/ at a $10 discount from the the maker's full price, a company called 12 Oclock Labs. So $69 instead of $79. Watched a 3 minute You Tube video on how to program it and looked at the instructions. They offer several different ways to program it. I choose to use masking tape to fasten my Magellan automobile GPS to the top triple clamp and got a GPS speed of 56 mph at the motorcycle's indicated 65 mph due to my 1 tooth smaller countershaft and 1 tooth larger rear sprockets. So then I plugged those numbers into one of the formulas on the SpeedoDRD instructions and came up with a minus 13.8 percentage adjustment factor. It took about 2 minutes to enter -13.8% into the device and then on my next test run the GPS and motorcycle speedometer both matched. Piece of cake or slice of pie or whatever, it was pretty easy to do. Then being OCD I went to my hobby bench and built a little box about 1" x 2" from rigid foam and auto trim glue with air vent slots in the sides and placed the SpeedoDRD inside that to protect it from getting banged around and vibration. Probably totally not needed but it kept me out of trouble for 15 minutes. There is so much more speed radar around here these days I really need to have an accurate speedo.

I'll try and get a picture up soon, it's too hot to go outside right now - garage feels like a oven on low heat.
