What kind of regulators did you replace it with? The cheap Chinese ones WILL fail. Did you get OEM ones or MOSFET?

If it has gone through 4 of them, how long did each last?
I'm suspecting you have a resistance somewhere caused by corrosion... That will kill even a Mosfet R/R given enough time...

I went through at least 2 oem and the after market ones I got from "regulatorrectifiers.com" they said it was better than oem

Well, the OEM one is crap... The ones sold at that site isn't even good enough to be called crap... So that says nothing really... You can keep replacing stuff wit cheap crap, or you can fix the issue and replace with quality parts... Your choice, but I'd advice staying away from that site... $89 for a regulator that's best used as a paperweight... Sheesh... A Mosfet regulator costs roughly half that...
But you didn't answer my question... How long did they last? One each season, or two each season, or three?

the oem lasted about two weeks the others about 6 months
