Rc51 forks???
 
Will rc51 forks fit on a 2000 hawk??? Do the calipers,clip ons
ect work??? I have come across a set of rc51 forks for a good
price any help woulg be great!!!

I would suggest you do a search for this item has been discussed before but I believe the short answer is yes. You may want to look up RC996 (think it's RCVTR now) as he installed a set on his Hawk.

There have been some lengthy discussions about it. the short answer is yes, they work very well.

The long answer is that it does take some work and you will basically change the entire front end on the bike and have to trim the fairing to clear the lower triple clamp. Wheel, rotors, brakes, clip-ons. You can use your clutch master, throttle and other bar controls with a little modification.

Your VTR front end has nearly the same market value, so it doesn't cost too much in the end. Pretty major project, but if you're obsessed as I was, it's very rewarding.

Other USD fork swaps hve been done with equal success.
