quick question....

Yes, my acct failed. Big surprise. 4 bent valves and a complete used head ($140) later, im bout ready to rebuild. Im not completely lazy and I am looking this up myself, but figured i would double check with yall about which seals or gaskets should be replaced during this process. I just dont want to overlook anything. Thanks.
BTW, I know there are many opinions on the cct's so heres mine. Im convinced that the acct failure is caused by a lack of oil on a movable part, the spring. I dont get why i would replace one with one that i will be praying doesnt randomly fail before i will replace it again. Im all for one i know wont break. But if you cant do it, dont do it. anyway, thanks for the help.

Head gasket (not cheap!) and copper exhaust crush o-ring (and if you remove the whole exhaust you'll want two of these). Everything else is rubber and should be re-usable unless they're cracked and worn. Paper CCT gasket as well, although you can also use RTV silicone for that one

Don't forget to check/inspect your cam chain for damage or stretching. I had a CCT failure, rebuild with a replacement head, and 1/2 mile down the road the timing chain broke.

My motor had high comp pistons and cams, and broke the cam tower caps, so that may be why my chain took more damage though.
