Pulling off old exhaust

2 Attachment(s)
So the PO replaced the factory exhaust with a 2 into 1. Recently my oil pan started leaking (see oilpan pic attached) apparently because that new exhaust was rubbing on the pan and eventually caused it to start weeping.

So I undid the 4 nuts holding it on but I cant seem to get it out from underneath the bike. It APPEARS theres a joint on the rear section of exhaust (see 2nd pic attached) but even after taking the bolt all the way out I cant separate it. Can anyone confirm a) it really is a joint where you can separate b) that's how you normally get this thing disassembled and c) any tricks to getting it separated without damaging the piping.

Also, general thoughts on issues with replacing current 2 into 1 with the factory exhaust (lets assume jets weren't changed for now) . I assume it was done to improve lower end power off the line. Thoughts?

If you a little money to play with maybe look for a good set of slip-ons and convert back to a standard style exhaust. I personally would not go with standard mufflers because it stifles the great sound of the Superhawk.
