Problem fixed......Bad CDI

After several weeks I finally got the bike running....:D

I had no spark coming at back plug.

After going over all electrical items one at a time on the bike, I narrowed it down to CDI or Converter unit.

40 bucks off fleabay,(for CDI and Converter) and a couple weeks later, plug in the new CDI and............. WE HAVE SPARK:wootwoot:

Thanks for all the input in my previous posts.

I was a complete newb to the hawks elecrical system, but am pretty damn famililiar with it now!

I am not sure if the alarm installed by the p.o. was a factor of not ,but I removed it to be sure.(chirp after shutting down was getting annoying anyhow)

It was an immobilizer, and being spliced into the ICM and Ignition wire feeding the CDI, could have played an affect when the main fuse blew on the alarm power lead.

Thanks bass4dude for your input:cheers:

Now i am going for a ride :draggin:

Good to see you back on the road, bud.

There's a couple of kinks to be worked out with the SH but once that's done, she's a bulletproof old gal that will never let you down.

Keep the rubber side down and enjoy the roads!
