Picked up a screw with front tire...
Hi, getting home today I noticed a lil screw on my front tire. As I started to unscrew it with my fingers and praying I was able to take it off. I looked pretty long, about 1/4 inch maybe. I was expecting the tire to loose all the air but. It doesnt look like its loosing air at all. How safe it is to ride with a hole almost all the way thru? Tires are dunlop, they are in pretty good conditions. also, what size it recommended for rear. I think mine is too small. I got the bike a year ago tires were almost new then. thanks guys.

Put so soap & water on it and look for bubbles. No bubbles you should be good to go. The rear is a 180\55-17

But, then again, if you are north of 130-140 pounds or so, you are really to heavy for the stock front suspension... The paradox is that the rear works like crap for a lightweight, and decent if you are a heavyweight... |

I've ridden for thousands of miles after pulling sharp objects out of my tires. I did plug them though.
Until the new springs, add like an inch of heavy fork oil, it will make it worlds better. You can also add spacers to firm it up. |

Shoot me a PM so I don't miss any of your questions. Yeah there is very little you can do to the front end without springs and valves, which we can do also.
