PIAA Super Plasma bulb

I put one of these in and it's pretty damn bright. Same Wattage as the stock 55/60. But i keep blowing this 10amp fuse that is connected to the speedo/odometer and taillight circuit. Do you think it would be okay to put, lets say, a 15 amp fuse in there or should i change back to the stock bulb? Thanks!

Hi Miles,
Sounds like you have a short in that circuit and you'll probably just blow a higher rated fuse, or melt the wiring. It doesn't look like the headlight has anything to do with the fuse that's blowing. Maybe check the wires up front to see if you jarred one loose with the bulb replacement.

That was my other thought, but i was dredding it horrobly. I hate doing electrical work! Ah well, it'll give me something to do for a week or so, lol. Thanks!

Wiring Your Honda=Wringing Your Hands

Really not that bad, tho. Check the download-able Honda manual with schematics and wire diagrams.

Find all loads to that fuse. Inspect those items and associated connectors.
Refer to manual procedures for repair or replacement.

So i did a little common sense testing and found that the fuse pops only when i turn the handle bars to the right. And it has to be pretty much close to the steering stop in order to happen. So i must've wired something to where it's rubbing wires to make a short. Any suggestions?
