I got mine cut at Ace and used one of the stock blanks...

or... if you know how to internet, you can get one on e-bay:

Edit. OK maybe not so easy as there looks to be a left and a right:

Just drop by at a good lock smith, and he'll cut one for you. That's what I did, and, I think it works better then the OEM one. ;)

I was one of the unfortunate & lost my only key while at an outlet mall. :(
After removing the ignition, my local dealer made me 2 more. Get it done asap!

i live in back woods UPSTATE ny. like up by Canada. there is no locks miths around here. lol

i called a local dealer (2 hours away). they told me there was 2 parts. they said they would send me a blank in the mail. i could have it cut at the local ace(i hope)

how do i tell the parts apart.?

One has the slot in the left and one has the slot in the right... not sure if they're all the same for superhawks, but that's the difference.

Local ACE should definitely be able to cut it- and if you don't mind having a slightly different head, you can just use a stock one like I said. I've done it at various Ace's for multiple vehicles (even chipped ones) without fail. Home Depot, on the other hand, has messed up a few ;)

Not having a backup can only lead to great unhappiness.

If you open you gas cap, there is a code. That can be used to cut the key. I have a local guy that does it. Really saved me once.

I have had mixed luck using ebay for blanks... two key blanks fit, and two didn't.

Ace Hardware was quite happy to cut the key for me using my blank.

If I recall correctly Honda in 01 or 02 started using keys with RFID chips for an integrated security system. The two different blanks may be one with the RFID and one without. I know my Buddies 2000 Model CBR929 has no RFID key however the 01 model did have an RFID chip in the key. I dont know if the hawk ever used the RFID key, but it was my immediate thought with the two different key codes
