nfo on 02 sh repair

i posted on classifieds about might needing a new motor.
{i was on the way home from work and heard a loud knocking sound from rear head and stopped before it would tear up further and was told i might need a new motor.}
well only half was right he took the rear head off and i might need a rear head. but what happened was the timing chain went bad messed up a rod and bent the valves. i think thats what he said. so the valves in the rear head are bent and hes taking the valves out tomorrow to see if the head is cracked. so its not going to be as bad as replacing a motor. feel free to correct me on this and I'm up for any advice.

cant wait to get it back on the road.

this could've been caused from a cct failure.
if you haven't put manual cct's on,now is the time.
make sure you or the mechanic takes out the cct and inspect it.

What he said, and if the mechanic says anything needs replacing, ask to see the damaged parts unless you trust him.

oh i trust him. but thats it, the cct broke. hes putting manual in front and rear. the shop i took it to first didnt mention anything about ccts but they did hear a faint ticking noise and i heard it too. im not takeing it back there.. hes not sure of a price on how much it could be. wound anyone have a guesstimate on how much i should expect to pay?
