New bike occasionally misses making a strange noise

Ive done 750km's on my 07 vtr so far...

Ever since i got it its occasionally missed when cruising. When it misses it goes "duerrrp" kinda like the noise you get when changing from 2nd to 1st gear sometimes. It happened again earlier with my knees gripping the bike and i felt something vibrate between my knees.

The only mods are Scorpion slip-ons.

Any help?

If you're getting a little "hiccup" at around 3000 rpm during light cruise, you could be a little lean at that engine speed due to your slip-ons.
I've had this same problem, and it pretty much clears up after the bike has been warmed up (ridden for 10-15 min).

Things that have helped me:

Make sure your carbs are in sync.

Set your TPS to 500 ohms.

Replace your front (short) velocity stack with a (long) rear one. This improves engine efficiency in that range.

If needed, raise your carb needles to get a little more fuel happening.

Do a search to get more details, but this should get you going in the right direction. Good luck!

Since when did Honda make an '07 VTR? Overseas?
