New bike need help

I just got a 99 vtr1000 superhawk the other day it wasnt running when i got it the guy tild me the carbs had been rebuilt n jetted but he couldnt figure out the fuel lines on the tabk i thought to myself thats a easy fix not knowing what i was getting into... so the provlem i have is all yhe lines appear to be hooked up to the carbs i have two small tubes/hose and two large hoses i know the large ones are the fuel line for the carbs but i dont kbow what the two small ones hook to obe is vaccum and other i guess is the overflow for petcock correct me if im wrong its long and itsnt hooked to anything but when i hook it to petcock try to start bike fuel comes out if it???? Thats whats got me cobfused it is hooked to center nipple on petcock i have narrowed down that the rear is vaccum for carb.. i got it to start momentarily n it idled real high 2k n when i hit gas kinda seemed to be strugling n powerless till i hit higher rpms n it wasnt as baf but still not right where to go with this any detailed suggestions would be appreciated considering shop wants like 150 to 200know just to tell me what it is(trying to avoid that considering im mechanicly inclinded n can fix it myself )

Please edit your post with a spellcheck and some punctuation. This is probably why you have no response. It's just too fukkin hard to read!

^^ Really annoying to read but your issue is PVLIR. (do a forum search with PVLIR and some of the threads have pictures on how to reconnect the tank.)

You need to hook up the small line to the petcock on the back right nipple not the bottom. The other small line that runs down the bike to the pavement hooks up to the smallest nipple on the tank for vent. The bigger line next to that one is the overflow from the top of the tank, it also runs down to the ground.

Your shooting gas out of the petcock because you have the vacuum connected to the wrong port on the petcock.

Good luck.
