New 530zzz chain/JT Sprockets
 

fellows i have followed my fellow mates into the 15/43 world on the strechted Hawk!


Short story:

About two weeks ago i was doing an inspection and notices i had a plate about to come off well the rivet about to come out, then noticed another, so i said self and self said U Better sit your a## down and don't ride that bike, now before this i have been up and down the hwy i guess that why it pays to alwyas inspect before you ride, safety first!!!!

my chain is a 530 mox chain thats all i know with a vortex sprocket.

Went to the shop today and had a fleet of busas and cbrr's , anyway told the guy about my problem and he stated a xso chain, and steel sprocks would be the way to go.

Anyway when i left the counter i had purchased a 530zzz 150 link and jt sprockets.

when i get it back i take pics.

11,000 + tensile strength i know the hawk doesn't need that much but for the price i was going to pay for any thing decent i said why not for $210 + $57 for sprockets and $75 for labor.

all i can say is.............i thought i saw a putty cat........superhawk in ur RearView!!

I know you're smart to go with steel sprockets 'cause the aluminum wear out fast.

At 150 links I know this about your chain...It's pretty long.

Prices you mentioned sound fair and reasonable.

I'm runnin' the EK ZZZ and JT sprockets on my '98 Superhawk, and my '94 CB1000, and my '97 Bandit 1200S, and my '99 ZRX1100. None make more than 125 RWHP so with this level of tensile strength (11,000lbs) and the high quality JT steel sprockets I'm hoping for very long life- at least better than the mediocre 20,000 miles I got out of an RK SO 530 o-ring set-up.

now i don't need 150 links that was the size i needed to order i have 66 side plates so i guess that 132 links
