Neutral resistence after Rectifier swap?
 

So I've got a weird one... has anyone run into this:

1. Rectifier started going bad from what I could tell, on Monday.. bike died in a parking lot.. had it jumped and enough battery juice to get home a few miles away. Bike hasn't been touched since I got it home, it was running fine then.
2. Bought an R6 rectifier, modded the harness tonight and put the rectifier on.. screwed the pooch on one of the wires and blew the main fuse (30A). No biggee, replaced it, checked the other fuses, all good, lights and everything work no problem..
3. Go to put bike away a little bit ago, too dark to start it up and wake up the neighbors.. As I'm pushing the bike in Neutral... the bike begins to show resistance, and then the rear tire locks up.. I push it backwards, it rolls backwards about full wheel turn, and again locks up, move forward one wheel turn, and it locks up.

I checked the chain to make sure something wasn't damaged, i.e. bad link or something.. nothing from what I can see..

Anyone ever have something like this happen? I'm a little hesitent to start it up if Neutral isn't cooperating...

Nothing to do with the R/R.

Sounds like something is stuck in the wheel or chain.

*sigh* I officially and never working on my bike after a 12 hour day again...

As soon as I read 'something is stuck in the chain' -- I instantly remembered one of the nuts from the battery screws fell out.. I couldn't find it.. but had spares..

Go figure, I put the rear stand up, turn the chain, the nut had perfectly wedged itself between two links... uhg.. thanks lazn.. sometimes all you need is to hear it from someone else...

It's always the easiest fixes that prove to be the hardest to troubleshoot.
