Need help post pair removal

So I finally got around to doing the pair removal tonight. I flipped the reed plate, used pair block off plates, plugged the line to the carb, plugged the air box. Put it back together and now it idles very slow and is very doggy on the bottom end. I have a k&n in it, it has the aluminum trumpets bought on this site from the group buy a few years back. I'm confused what to do now. I'm considering putting the pair on. Do I need to adjust my carbs now It feels like I'm running rich but I'm not 100% sure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

have to kick the idle up some.
may have to adjust the mixture screws a little bit and should do a carb sync.
the K&N might have something to do with it.
after every thing else is done,if you have a stock filter,i would try both and see which one you get better results from.
with changing filters back and forth, might have to carb sync each time, might be different results with each filter.

Were the velocity stacks and K&N installed previously when the engine was running properly? Were any changes made immediately before the poor running condition other than PAIR disable?

This other thread includes pictures. Double check that you did everything necessary. I do not 'think' that disabling the PAIR should affect fueling, if done right.
