This is my Rectifier...

As I'm looking to change it, (if need be), am I looking at the OEM one, or an aftermarket one?

I see them on Ebay for $18-. What is the difference between those ebay ones, and the MosFet ones for around $100-?

I'm sure most of you replaced yours years ago, but this would really help, Thanks!

Now is the time to do the MOSFET swap.
Just fyi, compare this to what you have already found.

Thank you. I've seen that thread, but my ADD kicks in and I get bored. Is there a Cliff's notes version? hahaha

So would you say mine in the foto is the original one?

IIRC that is a stock R/R that was used on late model SH. It will also let you down, maybe not as soon. The R/R is one of couple of important up-grades/fixes that are imperative that they be dealt with. Not worth cheeping out on.

Thanks much. Not one to cheap out in general. Is there a simple plug n play unit that many are using? I really don't want to have to spice wires and get all crazy with it, haha.

Not sure, maybe someone else www chime in, but I don't think that there is what would be a real upgrade to to stock that uses the stock connector. Eastern Beaver, Cycle Terminal are two online retailers that have all the wires needed to swap in the common mosfet R/R. All plug and play.
Check out the sticky about R/Rs

You're either going to stay w/ the unreliable crap or you're going to get all crazy (no splicing, just cutting off old plug and adding new terminals). Your decision.

You're the man, Wicky. Thanks a ton. Just soldered n wrapped a handful of wires for my new integrated tail light, so this looks no biggie. Which one did you go with?

Good info, thank you hombre.

Click the link above the piccie - I crimped it to the connectors.

The better solution is to use the correct connector, with a MOSFET RR.
Furukawa 250 QLW Series R&R Connectors are the correct ones and can be had from many sources.
I get them from a place called Cycle Terminal Furukawa QLW 250 most times unless im already ordering from Corsa Technic, LLC and then I order there https://www.corsa-technic.com/catego...ategory_id=101

Use the proper crimping tool and you have a life long job done using a modern sealed connector

Awesome. I'll check it out.

I guess it depends on how determined you are lol. I suffer from the same issue, and must remind myself of determination haha
