Mounting VFR clipons
Quick question for the ones that have done it.
I'm in the process of mounting 96 VFR bars on my 98 hawk, everything simple enough just wondering about the nipple on the inside of the throttle clamp. The VFR has is 180 degrees off from where the Hawk is. So do I grind nipple off or drill a hole in the clipon? Thanks. |
The pin is really only there to make mounting easy in the factory, as the angle gets exactly right every time... So yeah, either option is good, really...

That's what I was thinking. Just wanted a second opinion before doing something wrong.
Thanks Tweety |
Grind the nipple off the controls

I ground the nipples off when I put on my flat bars and I have not had any trouble with it.

I just drilled holes......

I always grind the nipples before drilling the hole. That's just my thing.
