Mototec Undertail

Anybody know of anyone whose had a Mototec undertail?

I was curious about build quality, their color matching the factory color, and ease of install.

When you use one of these, do you usually get a rear grabber too?

Thanks,
Terr

Re: Mototec Undertail

I have one.
Excellent paint match.
pictures here and further down the page are links to where I bought it & other info.
installation instructions sucked.
I'll try to take some pics tonight from the inside of the seat area so you can see how much inner fender I had to cut.

i installed the mototech undertail (that's what I was reporting on & linked to)

A hugger (rear fender) is not required if you leave the stock "flap" in place to keep dirt, mud, water off the rear shock.

I did add a Pyramid carbon hugger & removed the mud flap near the rear shock.

Sorry for the confusion.

Still want pics of how much inner fender I removed to get the Mototec unteratil to fit?

Yes, I'd appreciate pics when you have time.

Pics from the inside showing cutaway part.
I used a solder gun with a flattened tip to melt thru the black plastic instead of cutting or sawing it. It made less of a mess and was easy to control the 'cut'
In hindsight I could have cut less & had it fit.
