Missing

I've been on a VTR1000 for about 6 months now and just love it, so much fun to ride. 43 rear sprocket, SpeedoHealer and Gear Indicator, CBR600F4i brakes, Staintunes - its just awesome for the type of riding I do.
A mint condition 2006 VTR with only 4000Km's came up for sale nearby and I just couldn't help myself. So now I have two, but the new one has a miss at 1/4 throttle , quite pronounced at 2-2500 rpm in 3rd or 4th gear.
It almost feels like there's a momentary loss of spark . At idle or more than 1/4 throttle its fine . Its got Yoshimoro exhausts so a bit different to ride, I dont know if its ever had a carb synchro - any ideas?

Uhhhhh...... why are you riding it at 2-2500 rpm in 3rd or 4th gear to begin with?

The thing that comes to mind for me is to check the low speed jets are clear; you are down in the range that those cover, before the slides start to open and the main jets start to feed the engine.

Agree. Clean carbs and sync, then see how she runs.

Also: sparks can misbehave when the battery is in poor condition, giving misfires and ragged running. Given you have two VTR's would be an easy job to switch the batteries over (or even the carbs!) so you know where to look.
