Low rev ?
If I do a quick rev from an idle too light I can hear the intake suck but then the motor acts like it dies for less than a split second. Still stays running after. It has the quick shake with the ping noise like when you stall. Don't have any problems with the bike at all. Fuel mileage is correct. I just figure it runs lean if I give it that real light rev. Any suggestion what it might be?

i was having the same issue,i finally got to sync the carbs,it helped with that tiny stumble, its not perfect yet.but i think that might be a starting point for you.
my carbs have problems so i still gotta do some tinkering with it,i think thats why mine is'nt steady.but its definately better than before. |
My carbs were fully rebuilt by a Honda tech only 5K miles ago. Do you think they'd be out of sync already? In the mean time I'll start researching the syncing tool some of the guys here have made. Thanks Tony.

Did you do set the pilot screws with the bike running or just on the bench?

I wasn't talking about the idle speed screw but the the pilot circuit adjustment screws that are D shaped and located on the bottom of the carbs.
Turning them out 1\2 turn will richen up the bottom end... ;) |
