Ignition advance question

I realize this may sound silly to those "in the know" but....

Looking at the posted chart of the VTR's stock ignition map (kindly provided by Rama), if I want to advance timing, do the numerical values go up or down. In other words, at a given TPS setting and RPM, if the number existing advance number is 35 degrees and I want to advance the timing by, say 2 degrees, will the number become 33 or 37?

Thanks in advance (no pun intended, lol)

cheers

Before top dead center is the measurement, therefore if you wanted to advance 2 degrees from your 35 would be 37.
