Head cover breather hoses

Hi, when i was balancing my carbs with the air box off i notice that there is significant air flow through the breather hoses.
Is that normal?

well, just to let you know, you shouldnt balance the carbs with the airbox off.
everything needs to be back together to get them balanced right.
and yes,it is fairly normal.

I've never checked, but it would seem that there would be a lot of air moving around in there... it's all the same volume of air as the lower crankcase where the cylinders are moving up and down every once in awhile.

if you need to make any adjustment the tank has to come off, but this makes the checking easy.
And a carb adjusting tool comes in handy
