Handlebar question

The core part of clip on, the part that a bar end weight screws into... are those replaceable? and also... what the heck are they called so I can ebay them? Am I just going to have to get new clip ons that still have the core? (which is my working name until I find out the real name)

Thanks in advance!

it is replaceable, but you might have better luck trying to find the clip on,may be alot cheaper.

Went on the Ebays.... saw lots of clip ons, but none of them seem to have the weights....

The weights, the rubber grommets - the entire assembly is all about the ringing sensation in the bars due to vibration. It's what makes the Superhawk so hard on everybody's hands, wrists and forearms. My best solution was to use the stock internals with 44 oz stainless end weights. (Ebay) Mounted all this inside a set of Helibars and it's as good as it gets. I did have the tires done and did the chain replacement myself. It will never be as smooth as the VFR but neither will it be so freakin' heavy!

Stay on top of your parts house whomever you chose bc nobody gets the numbers right and it's really important to pay attention to the "number required" column and order the right stuff the first time - at least make it their mistake if they don't. Shipping on this little shit is killing.

And further worth it, do both sides at once. It's a cheap restoration of the bike that makes for some huge comfort rewards.
