can you use the Superhawk banjo bolts with the suzuki calipers? and what about the master cylinder ...same thread pitch?

Master cyc is different therad. but calipers will work no problem. When you are done you will say wow why did I not do this sonner. make sure to respring your forks for the total package. You wont regret it.

So, what years, and which ones will fit the Hawk??

I would like to find these and add them...

You can only use the 6 pisotn ones from the 01-02 gsxr1000 the SRAD years have different spacing

you can use your stock mc but it doesn't push enough fluid tbh... you'd be better off just going SS lines and ebc pads until you can get both the calipers and MC. lines work fine too. uh... on price. i forget what I paid. 200-250 I think it was from superbling. but I need to rebuild them due to my own stupidity. I used dot5 by accident and this causes rubber parts to swell so right now honestly they stop about as good as the stockers cause they're a little mushy... :-\

so what MC to use, and will it work with the SS lines? I have SS line now, but my caliper on the right is not working properly...I don't want to replace another rotor any time soon....I took them off a few months ago, and cleaned them best I could, I think they are not compressing evenly, main issue....

So I am looking for the 6 pistons online, Ebay etc....just need a different MC right? again, will ss lines I have now work?

use the matching MC from the gixxer for those years. the ss lines do work with both MC's. the size of the suzuki one is 5/8" I believe someone said you need a new lever or something.. I dunno. Mine came with one on it *shrugs*

Ok, I will keep an eye out, so which is better, or are they about the same....

beats me though the 6 piston calipers are widely sought after by many different groups of bike owners - gsxr600/750, sv650, superhawk, as well as several more that I can't remember. So I'd say it's safe to say they're really good...

cool....I was just curious if there was a bid difference between the 954 calipers and the gixxer calipers, as I can watch out for either on Ebay etc....

I used the same ss lines that I had for my hawk when I replaced them first. The gsxr master will use the same lever nice carbon ones on ebay bought 2 sets in case mishap on track day. I like the conture or wave rotor best with grafer not 'spelled right' pads 2 finger stoping no mush lots of adjustment with lever. I think you have to grind stock levers but it was no big deal just the knob where it pushes the piston.

cool, I have the cf look levers from ebay, and I have the ss lines...so basically I just need to find the calipers, and MC....Not a big deal....any modifications to the MC for fit and finish?? or just bolt on?

I switched over to the 4 pot 954 calipers recently. The pots are about 1.125" in dia Vs the stockers where the pots are about 1" ... That works out to about 26% larger ... the pads are also a bit larger (don't have the measurement handy but it was 10+% I think) .. So the bottom line was a very nice improvement in braking power with the same lever pressure.

I'm using the stock MC and it seems to be fine, not any 'excessive' brake lever swing at all.

The only slight caliper mod is removing about 1/16" of material near the lower bolt mount on each caliper... Easily done with a die grinder - dremmel - or milling bit.

$175: that's not a give away price but they were priced to sell to the forum.

k. couldn't remember what I paid :P I think on ebay they go for around 200 or so.

You have to bend the bracket that holds the resovor but not a big deal. I paid $100 for calipers not sure for master. but you will like it best mod I have done so far. But had new fork springs already so hard to tell sort of work togeather.
