I'm not saying it's impossible. How did the seafoam get in the cylinder? I haven't used that product, but it sounds similar to Barrymans B12, Gumout, etc. If using it to clean the carb on a car or truck, it's done with the engine running, and you'd have to dump it in there really fast to get enough in one cylinder to cause a hydrostatic lock.

When I worked in dynotune shops in the '70s, we used liquid Barrymans which we would squirt into the carb out of a quart metal can with a tapered plastic nozzle. It would burn in the cylinders cleaning out some of the carbon. We put it in there pretty fast with the engine at about 1500rpm. I even got rid of carbon knocks several times doing that. Some guys used water in a coke bottle, but that would create too much heat during combustion if you weren't careful.

Tonight I just finished swapping out the fuel level sensor with a newer model. When we pulled the tank off gas came flowing out of the petcock(good thing there is a manual shut off). I had the tank off a few months ago and this did not happen so we pulled the petcock apart to make sure the diaphragm was not torn to prevent what happened to Hawk. Good thing it was not torn. We found things just jammed up on themselves. We pulled it apart and the reseated the spring and everything is working as usual again. Hopefully prevented a gasoil situation.

With a little silicone spray it'll work for a while again. It usually sticks and that's just poor design, just like our CCTs.

I took her out the other day (first time this season) and she pulls as strong as ever. I guess I got lucky. After riding the CBR for the first few weeks I forgot how well the VTR steers. I can put this bike anywhere I want and it's almost telepathic. I love my VTR! :mrgreen:

I have seen bike (Honda) rods bent from hydro lock....it can and does happen.
