gas leak?>

Came home yesterday to find the bike tipped over in the garage. Not, sure what happened, someone had to bump it by accident and then couldnt get it back up. anyhow, cant say i smelled any gas at the time but when i lifted it, i got a little gasoline bath on my hand and down the right side of the frame and onto the floor. I wouldnt say it was a ton of gas, but it sure wasnt just a little bit. I cleaned her up and tried to pinpoint the leak but couldnt. I noticed the pad on the underside of the tank was damp with gas so i tried that up too and let it sit for a couple of hours. Came back out, no gas leak on the floor, pad was still dry. So I fired her up and rode her around the block, no problems.

I am just stumped and a little concerned. Anyone have any clue on where this gas could have come from and anything I should check out?

Your tank has an overflow/breather hose around the filler cap. It's basically a drain in the cap area that runs through a hose in the bottom of your bike. It probably filled up and drained out when you righted the bike.

Great. I figured it had to be something like that. However just had to check in to get some opinions because I was stumped and I dont like to explode into a blaze of fury on my joy rides.

eh, in my garage... unless some tool tried to mess with it (my garage door has been open all weekend due to people comin and going for a birthday and a funeral)...

shes naked with sliders on frame, bars, footpeg, and swingarm so other than marks on those and a scratch on the crg bar-end and tank, im fine. Shes not a show queen anyhow.

my guess was the carbs, forgot about the breather hose on the tank.

thanks for the peace of mind thats shes probably fine.
