Front rotor replacement

Hey team,

I have little 'throb' in my front brakes and was going to replace my front rotors. I went to the local shop and had them order these OEM replacements https://www.ebay.com/itm/EBC-Standar...kAAOSw9N1Vku~~

I haven't torn anything down yet but I was looking at the stock ones with the gold centers and don't know how this is going to work. Do I need some sort of mounting piece to go with those rotors or did I just get the wrong set? I couldn't find anything with a quick look in the forum so I apologize if this has already been addressed.

Thanks in advance,
'99 Super

Edit: that's a freakin rear rotor isn't it?..

Thank you, I needed the sanity check. I assumed parts dept at the local shop knew what they were ordering... was looking them up and noticed that after I posted. Thanks again.

It might pay to see if you actually need to replace the rotor. In my experience it is not at all difficult to accidentally bump a disc and give it excess runout (producing shudder under brakes), but what bends is not the steel disc but that lovely soft gold alloy carrier. With some care it is easy enough to pry the carrier (NOT the disc) and straighten that out. If you mount a dial gauge to the fork leg you can do this in a scientific way! YMMV but it worked fine for me.

Cadbury, I know of which you speak. I whacked my OEM rotors and bent the carrier. Felt just like a warped rotor. Hooked up a dial run out gauge "Tapped" it with a soft dead blow hammer and got it true again. went 20k miles and no problems. Finally wen the some Galfer Wave rotors. Love em with my 6 pot GSXR calipers (direct bolt on) coupled with some HH pads and a GSXR Master.
