what dampening setting do you use for the shock? I had mine rebuilt/revalved and setup for my weight but don't know exactly what setting I should have that on... For around town I leave it low and harder I had been using like 6 or 7. I'm thinking I might want it a little softer and use like 4 but I dunno...


Also I'm curious as to what you're front settings are. I have .95kg springs and that's it. I just cranked my preload up a lil to see if I'd notice a difference... So far I havent...

I was just about to post he exact same questions EngineNo09 :) I have the same setup. I still have to set sag on both the front and rear and then I'm going to start messing with the dampening. I'll let you know what I end up with.

the sag is the biggest part of the setup by far. I had a pro set it up for me. Now we had to fudge it a lil cause I'm a lil heavy in my beer belly but I'm working on that (free mods yo!). But the dampening setting the rear feels like oversteer like you get in a car

I play with the clickers and don't notice any difference :P Maybe it needs a rebuild but all the settings feel the same to me.

I notice a difference but it's tough to see without being able to have an extremely good road here that I can do over and over to see what I like the best

The range of compression on the Fox TC really isn't all that wide, but IMO it's perfect. Two or three clicks between street and track make a pretty big difference in tire wear and squat. The shock doesn't have a lot of high speed compression, and I like that because it's comfortable. That is probably what you guys are expecting to feel. It's not what the adjuster is adjusting. You're adjusting low speed compression - how much the bike squats coming out of corners hard on the gas. If you feel you are going wide on exits you will want a tad more LSC.

The rebound adjuster IMO has lots of adjustability and is pretty easy to get it right where you want it.

If you have the right spring, preload is a no-brainer.

On the street I didn't notice a BIG difference on my shock,(not a fox) but on the track you feel EVERY change. I keep it fairly soft,(about mid adj) on the street to soak up the bumps but much different when really moving.
