F4i temp sensor wiring
So I converted my gauge cluster to an f4i set up. My temp is off about 170 degrees. I have searched to find how to wire up the 3 wire f4i temp sensor into the 2 wire super chicken. I'm hoping 7moore7 or someone else who has done this can shed some light on this for me.

Id find a 3 wire sensor that will fit the SH over the other option.

7moore7 has his VTR up for sale so if you hope to catch his attention, I'd send a PM. Not on here much anymoore. lol
Progress looks good hampton. Keep us posted. |

basically just need to know how to wire it. |
I did this with the 600RR dash. I recall needing the temp sensor from the donor bike. (I think that's what you did). I can look in my mech notebook to see how I did it but since its resistance based it should be spot on with the new sensor. You'd have to look at the wiring diagrams of each to see what each wire carries.

Looking at the schematic for each I think the 3rd wire on the f4i goes to the tps... so do I just leave that lead shrink wrapped out of the connector or ground it?

I cant picture grounding it. I will look later but I think you just cover the wire. I thought mine only had 1 wire so you ground the other.
You have the donor bike sensor and harness plug? |

If it does work as you think it will, snip the wire and seal it off. |
