Exhaust studs - snapped

Fixing up the 1999 parts bucket. The front exhaust studs snapped on me. Honda does not list a seperate part number for the studs. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they screw in or pressed into the cylinder? Fortunately about 1/2" of the studs are still exposed. BTW no issues with the rear studs. Thanks. JB

They should thread in. Some PB Blaster and heating the cylinder head around the bolt should help.

They definitely screw in as I had one that was problematic as it wasn't ever fully seated (fixed it with some hi-temp Loctite).

Broken exhaust studs always suck. Hopefully you were using a torque wrench, or they broke taking the nuts off. Glad you at least have something to work with. Greg's suggestion of using PB Blaster is a good one. Great product.

They are in the fiche, #13 on the cylinder heads.
