electrical problem?
 
i took my sh back to the macanic again for like the forth time on the same problem (hesitation at 3000 rpm). and the macanic did some tests on the throttle positioning sensor. i dont know how many tests there are, i think theres like five, but all of them turn out good except one. so is there a test to see if its the sensor or the cdi box. or can i bypass the sensor all togther.

So why do you think this is electrical and not carburation issue.

Keep in mind i am not aware of the configuration of your bike and the history of the problem.

so is there a way to bypass the throttle positioning sensor.

the mac anic checked the carbs and everythimg was fine. tested the throttle sensor and one of the tests showed up bad. so i was wondering is there a way to test the sensor to see if its the sensor or the cdi box.

Well as stated before what lead you to believe it's electrical? Oh, you test the TPS by checking the Ohms but if you want to run without the sensor, just unplug it. The bike will be flat and not run real well but will run. Then you can plug it back in and see if it runs better.

is that how you would check if the sensor is bad.

You check the TPS by putting a ohm meter on it and seeing if the reading changes as you sweep the throttle open. Down load the manual and it shows all the tests.
