Dyno jet question

Hello; I bought my '01 recently with a dynojet kit badly installed. I've redone the jets and needle settings as per the instructions, which helped a lot. Can anyone tell me whether the kit diaphragm springs are stiffer or softer than stock? I may have the wrong ones installed, but can't tell. The bike starts, idles and revs fine, but has no snap when I try to pass a pylon. Thanks!

DJ slide springs are noticeably shorter. I suspect they are softer but cannot confirm...

Thanks, yes, they're about half the length.

I hate DynoJet kits.... For many reasons, non-standard jet sizes for one, strange needle profiles for another

I think I have it sorted, runs pretty well but I don't have a basis for comparison since it came with this jet kit; just all wrong!

My bike ran ok with it's Dyno Jet parts. But some of the settings, according to my mechanic who's worked on a lot of SH's, are 'weird'. Plus it runs pretty rich. It's not really right. I wound up ordering stock parts to have it put back stock, or nearly so. The springs are as quoted about half the length of the stock springs. My mechanic thinks they are effectively 'softer' than the stock spring, and at certain throttle settings might be allowing the slide to flutter. Who knows? I just know the bike is not very 'snappy' with regards to throttle, whereas I'm told a properly tuned Super Hawk will jump out from under you if you spike the throttle.
