Does anyone know what this is?
Hello all,
I found this part on ebay for superhawk and I was wondering what this is? Click on the link below then you'll see it. Has anyone had this kind of thing on the bike before? Does it really work? I'd be afraid of having one of these things on my bike since it doesn't look too strong to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/Honda-VTR-1000-F...QQcmdZViewItem |

does it change it for the better? most other sportbikes seem to have a higher rear or lower front...appearance wise
|
Raising the rear reduces trail slightly and increases rake. This leads to quicker steering and steering transition at the expense of straight line stability and line holding. If this is what you want, this is a way to get it without losing ground clearance.

I believe there is a short article/diagram on this modification in the Knowledge Base.

And I think it'd be smartest to get it when, or after, you got springs (front, of course; back, if money isn't too much of an issue).

get an aftermarket shock and adjust the ride height with that... we kicked my rear up 15mm but wanted to go a little higher. downside was higher I'd want to look into a damper...
