correcting the hiccup with higher idle

Will raising the idle fix the notorious hiccup? Mine idles at 1200 rpms & every once in a while it will hiccup but not stall. If raising the idle fixes this, can someone point me in the direction of where the idle "wheel" is. I'm assuming it is a wheel but don't know for sure. Thanks, Tim

to raise the idle you adjust the throttle stop screw which is located above the coolant box on the right hand side of the bike.. page 57 of the manual just in case..it wouldnt let me post the pic

Raising the idle to 1500rpm didn't fix the hiccup for me. It might have limited the number of times the bike stalled after the hiccup, however.

My RPMs jump up and down at idle all the time and hiccups happen once in a while, my idle is set at 1500 to omit the bike stalling when hiccup happens but 1500 idle rpm does not stop hiccups.

Start by synking your carbs... Then play with idle... Just raising the idle is like putting a bandaid on a broken bone...
