Clutch engagement/disengagement problems
 

I have searched around the forum a good bit for my solution, but with all my reading, most people seem to have the exact opposite problem that I have. The engagement point of my clutch is suddenly now at the point where the handle is on the grip. To be more specific, it actually doesn't ever fully disengage any more. If the bike is running, and you pull in clutch, and pop it into 1st gear, it is still slipping enough that it will either kill the engine or make the bike crawl forward. It just won't fully disengage anymore and almost makes it undriveable.

Most of the other clutch issues that I have read about revolve around a late engagement with the handle nearly 100% let out. I am going to try to bleed the system with new fluid tomorrow. Any thoughts or help would be so greatly appreciated!!!

Sounds like a problem with your slave cylinder or clutch master. Basically, the hydraulic system isn't disengaging the clutch enough. This could be air in the system, and this is the easiest (and least expensive) problem to solve. Simply bleed the clutch from the slave and also at the master cylinder. Bleeding at the master will require cracking the banjo bolt there and carefully protecting your paint from the fluid.

Thanks so much for the help! After fluid change/bleed everything is right back to normal. Flushed and bled the system at the slave and the banjo bolt and everything feels like brand new again!
