Choke Knob Pulls Out but then pulls itself back in...?

Is there a way to make the choke stay out? Do I need to grease it up or something to make it from pulling itself back in?

classic newbie question grasshopper. Behind the know is a cover with a tension nut, adjust it to your preference. Mine is too tight and I can barely pull it out so I need to do it also.

I think there was a write up on this somewhere. I need to do mine as well.

you probly need to tighten the tension on the knob. if you pull back the rubber boot behind the knob and just tighten the collar by hand, that should solve it.

see; http://webpages.charter.net/gnemish/index.html

hit the vtr1000f tab then Performance and Mods then adjusting choke knob tension.

Cheers!
