Changing cam timing: jetting?

Hi all,

Further to input from VTR God Roger Ditchfield, I will be re-timing my Yoshimura Stage 1 cams. The (Yosh) recommended lobe center settings are 108 intake and 110 exhaust. Roger's recommendation (after having seen my dyno results) are to get as close as possible to 103 intake and 108 exhaust (which, incidentally, is much closer to what Moriwaki calls for with their Stage 1 cams, as well as Honda's OEM settings). FWIW, Roger claims that this should help the engine build steam earlier and carry the momentum up into the higher rpms.

My question is this: I am currently running 107/110 and the bike is jetted (on dyno) for this. If changing to Roger's recommendations, will I have to change my current jetting specs?

Thanks in advance :)

Really shouldn't change jetting requirements at all... But you might end up wanting to make minor adjustments anyway... Try it... ;)
