CCT check
 

Hey all, I recently purchased my 98 Superhawk and since I have been on here I have read a lot about the CCTs and that they need to be replced with aftermarket. What I was wondering is how I could tell if mine were the original or if they had already been replaced. Thanks for any help

Stock units are gray and ugly. APEs are sort of neon red or blue (I think). But just because they've been replaced doesn't mean the job was done right. Don't ask me how I know.

Alright, so mine are stock, so now I need to save up some cash to buy the APEs. I'm just leery about messing with the timing on any engine. Wish me luck.
