CBR600rr calipers with a R6 rMC

Will this combo improve braking power over my stock calipers? I have read the 9 pages of the sticky and am wondering if the R6 MC labeled "16" will have enough power to push the 600rr's calipers. Any feedback would be welcome.

I do not have the option of running a linear MC due to my bars, so I need to stick with the radial. I can get the 600rr calipers for $40 so I'm hoping for a low budget upgrade. Will it work? Thanks!

The Brembo radial used on the R6 is a 16x 18 and is mated to calipers using 27/30mm pistons (IIRC). If you are speaking of axial-mount calipers from a 600RR, they use 32/30mm pistons. THis combo will likely work, though you may have a fair bit of lever travel (though, on the flip side, the power should be quite impressive). FWIW, I am running a Brembo/Ducati unit from a Monster 1100 (19x16) with calipers using 32/32 pistons and the combo works quite well.

Thanks for the response, it is the 03-04 model ones listed in the brake swap sticky. Right now I have a lot of travel, so that will not be unfamiliar, however still not ideal. I think I'll try it out of the price is right! Thanks!

FWIW, the pistons sizes in the R6 calipers is the same as those in the VTR's stock Nissins, so you may end up with the same long lever travel. Anohter good choice would be a Nissin radial MC, the 17.5 x 18 version used on late model CBRs and GSX-Rs (forget the cutoff year in this case as ealier models used the 19x18) , could likely be had for not much money. The Nissin 19x18 could do the job too......
