CArburator? know a good mechanic in San diego..??

My motorcycle will start.. it does so with some hesitation..but once started seems as if it is warming up normally.. once you go to take off.. imeadiately notice that at low rpm it is totally lacking power.. sounds as if both cyclinders are firing though..then with working throttle it will rise in rpm pretty normally.. at higher rpm bike seems to have normal amount of tq..soon the bike will choke itself out and not want to start without choke out or throttle being worked with started..wondering if seafoam is going to address this problem..running out ideas and i lost the number to a guy who works on hondas and i trust in San Diego.. guy was a former harley mechanic and now has a out of the house buisness fixing customer motorcyles and rebuilding out cb 550s and other cafe type projects.. he is a total perfectionist and really cool dude.. if anyone knows this guy or somone in san diego i can take this poor motorcycle to i would appreciate the heads up.. im pretty sure the bike is sick of me tinkering with it.

as well i just replaced my RR... posibly this is somthing to do with the ignition computer or coils? i found wires for coils disconnected by the choke.. i do not know where they go are they grounded to the bike?

ok after the bike sat for like 45 min it started right up ran solid for for a min ran it about 2o0 yards.. then the bike stutured as i hit the gas and then did not want to start without assist of the throttle.. i believe the lines coming of the tank have somthing going on.. posibly the on off valve on the tank... when i dissconnect the to big gas lines nothing is coming out..

ok i believe that the petcock is not opening becuase the lines are not correctly connected.. .. now to find where things go.. perhaps we have a pinch somwhere..

You should have one vaccum line that runs from the rear cylinder head, seen from the left hand side of the bike just under the carb inlet rubber. And runs to the petcock, on the side as mentioned NOT ON THE BOTTOM NIPPLE. If you have any other vacuum lines then they will be for a vacuum fed chain oiler or something and will run of a T Piece tapped off the above mentioned vacuum pipe. There may also be one fitted to the front cylinder for ease of carb balancing/syncing. But this is not standard. As standard you should just have the one of the rear.

Attachment 23752
Bottom left you can see where the rear vacuum feed comes off to feed the petcock.

That's an old pic from when I first got the bike. They look a bit cleaner now it's been run pretty much on a daily basis. I think the previous owner had the bike sitting around for a long time.

Well done sneeze. The petcock has caught most people out in the past.
