carb shim mod... not as easy as it sounds
we did the carb shim mod on my buddy's bike (a kawi). it turned out to be fairly easy.... take of the gas tank, remove the air box and a couple of hoses, remove the needle covers, add the shim and put everything back together. took us probably like 20 mins.
it took us nearly 2 hours to do it on the superhawk... first off there is like 15 hoses and clamps that you have to disconnect to get the tank and the airbox off... some of which are not that easy to get to. to remove the needle cover on one of the carbs is damn near impossible unless you remove the entire carb setup... we ended up just using an angled screw driver, but even so it took us about 20 to get it off. putting everything back together sucked just as much... if not worse.
the improvement was noticable.... however unless you really know what you're doing or you have a lot of patience i don't recommend doing the mod yourself.
