Carb Jet cleaning with Lemon Juice

1 Attachment(s)
A few days ago I posted a thread regarding cleaning my carb jets by boiling them in Yamaha carb cleaner. This doesn't/didn't sound like a great idea but others had done it so I figured why not. I was then presented with the option of boiling the jets in lemon juice as a safer, more eco friendly option and tried it out since I couldn't find my bottle of yamaha cleaner.

Here are the jets before.. To me (the untrained eye) doesn't look too bad.

Here are the jets after.. Definitely cleaner so I guess I'm a believer now.

awww, yamalube combustion chamber cleaner works so well. It is barely flammable, too. And when you heat it with a mini torch, the jets get REALLY clean. Not saying yours aren't clean, just not as clean ;) not that it matters, the ethanol fuels take care of that quite rapidly.

Next time... The vapors coming off of it would also be something to worry about inhaling. With lemon juice it jus smelled like lemons. Some said that it stunk but it didn't smell bad to me at all
