BattleAxe BT012?? Toss or keep?
It came with my new front wheel. It has plenty of tread. I have a new Pilot Power. I have a good Metz Z6.
Do I spend the money to swap'em? An inquiring mind wants to know. |
My kid ran Metzlers on his CBR and liked them. I've never run the Bridgestone tires so no comment there. I do think it is important - especially if you are a more performance style rider that you have the same manufacturer on both axles. I run Powers. Ran Dunlop before that. Run Pirelli Diablos on the VFR.

toss the battleaxes. they are junk. no feedback. ive come down to metz and pilots are excellent for an aggressive rider with a few track days in between. if you want i good all around tire with decent mileage go with the d220. i have the d220 for my longer rides and if i plan on riding aggressive i swap them for pilots(yes i have 2 sets of wheels)LOL. at least thats my 2c. thats what me and a couple of buddys of mine run on our superhawks and sv1000's. they have excellent feedback for feel and quick warm up times, and the pilots get eaten pretty quick.

perelli is the way to go
I have run just about every kind of sport tire on my s'hawk. A set of Perelli Diablo Corsa's were the best set i have ever had on the bike and milage was very very decent. They dont make this tire anymore. They have upgraded it since i have left for Iraq but it will time to get the new ones when i get home in a year.
