bafflectomy

The previous owner wanted the bike to sound louder so instead of buying slip-ons and helping me out ha-ha!! he started by drilling holes at 12-oclock and 6 o-clock on the stock exhaust. he liked the sound so he kept going around the clock. now they are so drilled out the entire baffle has fallen off in the canisters! My bike is running rich I have thick black soot at the ends of the pipes. The bike runs fine to me as Inever owned a sh or rode one before.Iwould like to put slip-ons on eventually.so if I do no carb adjustments will I need to jet the carbs when adding the pipes?

you will need to re-jet when you add new pipes.... but you do not need to adjust anything for a bafflectomy. you should get some vice-grips and muscle out the baflle though.... unless your talking about that secondary baffle that you can see inside the pipe. you should leave that alone.
