Bad Starter?
 

So this is whats happening...
When i go to start the SH it sounds like it turns over about 1/2 of a revolution and stops while making a wining noise (not grinding, poping, or clicking) seems like the battery is to low to start the bike but the battery tested good, tried starting the bike while R/R was unplugged same thing. When i do start the bike with the charger, i ride it few min and what til my batt guage reads high enough, shut off the bike and turn the key back on and the gauge reads almost dead as if something has already drained the battery. I have checked the cable that runs to the starter for corrosion, dirty but not bad enough to cause a problem (cleaned it anyways) The bike will start when plugging up a battery charger, so i'm guessing the starter is bad and the extra voltage is pushing it hard enough to start it? Any one heard of this or just know im wrong or missing something?

Have you checked the stator for shorts yet?

Not yet, my buddy is a mechanic at the local cycle shop we are going to check it tommarrow i hope, i don't have a multi-meter! is there a way to check it without this tool?

Not really.
Its like trying to test your turn signals while wearing a blind-fold, lol..
Check it cold, then if you can, warm it up good and test again.
The values should not change more than a couple ohms when hot.

And another thing I just posted in another thread, Short across your solenoid terminals directly with a pair of pliers or a pair of screw drivers. ( bike in neutral !!! )
If it torques the starter normally, replace the solenoid.
Internal contacts inside the solenoid can fry up and resist current.
This test isolates that.
