Anyone had experience with angled valve stems?
 

Ordering some metal valve stems for when I get my wheels back. I'd like to get some of the metal ones so I don't have to replace them as often. It looks like the angled stems are not only easier to fill with air but reduce centrifugal momentum effects. Anyone had experience with them? And what are the stem diameters on these things... 10 mm?

I have them as it's the only way to get to the front valve stem with 320mm rotors.

They come in 2 different sizes, one for "stock" wheels and the other for "aftermarket" wheels. I don't have the sizes handy but can get them for you though I do believe 10mm is the size you need.

I've had them on my FJR, with no problems, for 3 or so years. But, it is recommended that they get changed more often, 2 years - I think, because of the side forces.
When you see how beefy it is, you won't believe that.
I do put mu hand over it when filling or checking to take off some pressure.
Also, before you dismount the wheel - think about exactly where you want the stem to point. It sounds easy, but is isn't. And, if way off, can make it harder to access.
