SuperHawk Forum - Any suggestions ??

I jus bought a 98 Honda vtr 1000 I've our about 1000 miles on it then all of a sudden I went to start it through the electric start and it only clicked so I jumped it off it drove fine for approximately 10 Miles before the gauges stopped working, the lights dimmed, and it lost power so I went home put the battery on the charger charged it all night the next day again it started and rode fine for about 20 miles before the same issue occurred so I put it in the shop they fully charged the battery and replaced the regulator rectifier I just picked it up today I rode exactly 57 miles before the same issue started the gauges stopped working, lights dimmed, and lost power so I pulled over after 5 min I jump started it rode another mile before it started popping and loosing power pulled over again (I was literally a quarter mile from home) waited another 5 min jump started it and made it home. I don't understand what's going on because when I turn key off and back on the gauges start working again but still won't start through electric start and or stay running for more than a mile or two!!?? Has anyone experienced anything similar and or have any advice or suggestions??
