Lost parts?
Anyone else do this to themselves?
Being focused, disciplined and prudent, I tend to buy replacement parts well before they wear out. (brakes, tires, chains, etc. So I ingeniously bought some EBC HH pads for the hawk a few weeks back since I knew my brakes felt weird and the rotors were thin. Well here we are in December and they are missing? No amount of questioning my wife or arguing can make them appear (tried all that). Anyone ever do something this brilliant? |
Lost everything
Are you kidding me, I put something down and I can't find it ten minutes later.
|
Sounds like Pidge has a wife too.
Don't give up, Joe, until she tells you where she cleaned them to. |
Happens all the time. If I ever move, I'll find tons of "lost" stuff.
|
Of course I found a set of pads for the cbr600 I had 12yrs ago, my digital calipers, my backup travel compressor, etc. None of which are a reasonable replacement for HH pads, though I may try soon.
|
I have an extra set, slightly used, that Bobby sold me. If ya need, lmk. (ebchh)
if I can find 'em LOL! |
Oh actually they are technically for a cbr600f4i since that's the calipers I am running.
|
Ah, wasn't sure which Hawk, or what setup you have on the other one.

Anyone ever do something this brilliant? 15~20 items for my Super Hawk, 1/2 doz for my RM, 1/2 doz for my wifes CRF, 3 or 4 for her 650R, 20~30 for my DRZ485 SM, and the list goes on.. Then parts for customers bikes...Have a DR650 with a laundry list of parts waiting install. Same owners DL650 on the lift with new parts being received daily, same owners Sv650 with 4 parts waiting...Another guys CB400 four SS on another lift awaiting a pile, I mean a HUGE pile of parts, Dynyatek, NOS muffler, brake parts, new brake lines, tires, tubes, ect....same guys DRZ465 Adventure bike with service parts waiting on post ride work and servicing.... And thats just this weeks stuff.... Then we have parts for all my bikes that have been bought and stored, bought and mind changed on using and stored, parts for bikes we no longer have,,,,, Anyone need a brand new head gasket for a KX100...lol How about a shift shaft for a CRF50?... On the bright side with my new grandson here..... those parts may come back in to need and use soon.., so um, never mind, back on the shelf they go. I keep saying i need to organize it better, then holding off for the new shop "build" and the move to it which will take care of the issue...then the shop gets delayed again...and parts are still everywhere  |
Now, that's an episode of Hoarders that would actually be interesting.

Mostly OPMP (other peoples money parts) |
Show me the other pics, maybe my brake pads are in there somewhere!
|
Welcome to my world.
Always bikes in the cave and parts everywhere, start looking for one thing find another and then get distracted and start a job that I wasn't going to but as I have found the part I might as well. Must be a man thing. P.S I have a wife but she doesn't go in the cave so I can't blame her ! |
Cant blame her? Well sure, not with that attitude. You need to apply yourself. Don't sell yourself short, you are a tremendous slouch!
|
Ah, well... I feel better now so thank you. When on a quest in the house or garage I can often see the same thing several times before I recognize it is the item I am looking for. Usually something I knew the exact location of days ( or minutes) before!
|
Well, good news. I broke down and bought another set of pads. Going to install them as soon as they arrive.
I really don't like the holiday season one little bit. |
At least you'll find the lost set now.
|
I don't know, I think the Russians were involved in the disappearance.
|
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Seeing as new pads are on the way and all. |
VTR1000F, are you eating borscht and drinking Stolichnaya right now?
You may be on the suspect list...... |

Yes....Hmmmm.....But what diabolical plan would lead to my missing pads? Ponderous!

Ваш телефон в порядке, но активные темы все еще облажался.

I'm done. And, I would just like to point out that none of my posts were in Russian at the time they were posted or conceived.
